The house we rented in Bat Cave twice this year has a big cascade on the property. Richie took about a bazill photos when we went in October and I just found some of them on my laptop -score! The weather didn't quite cooperate with us, but at least all the rain made for a rushing waterfall. The view from the house was nice too. Too bad things weren't as pretty at the ping pong table, where Jeff and Ryan were previously unsuccessful, but Richie finally showed me what's up.

Thanksgiving

You know I kinda missed the blog. Glad I'm finally putting our lives back up on here!

For Thanksgiving we went to my sis Cara's house. Lauren and Kylie and Madison had a blast! Jeff photobombed my picture of Dad and William by throwing Madison into it. Like 4 times he did this right as I snapped...

After eating, Brett and Jeff left to go hunting and to a Cosby reunion, respectively. LOLs


Later Brett wanted to know where the leftover turkey was. What leftovers?? Am I right, Dad!! (This is like 15 mins after we finished eating at the table. Hey, the Browns can throw Downs!)

Halloween

Mom and Dad came up and brought Lauren a pumpkin. She was a real cute ladybug! It was her first time trick or treating, and she was really timid at first. Her favorite part was definitely handing out the candy at home and not visiting all the strangers' houses. Richie has some bangin pics of Lauren but you'll just have to take my word for it.

Bout time I put some info up on here! I'm going to dial it back to October for ya...

We took a little family trip the weekend before I came back to work. On our way home, we stopped by the North Carolina Arboretum, which is so nice, and in the main building there, they were having a Chrysanthemum show. It was kinda weird, but really cool to see all the kinds they had. People drove their flowers down from Michigan and stuff for the show - I wish I wish I wish I could spend my energy on growing Chrysanthemums instead of validation errors and movement types and other financial reporting system nonsense. A post for another day. Anyways! Here we are at the chrysanthemum show - Will's asleep in his stroller elsewhere.

Check out my little sweeties. It's statistically improbable that both of them would be sweet or cute or behave, or of course, sleep, at any one time. Nonetheless, we continue our New Year's Eve tradition of the couch photo...

ps - there are more than a couple of outtakes for this photo, including some photos of Lauren lying on the couch with an ice pack on her head, and plenty shots of Will screaming... so yeah I take what I can get.

Home Free

(pun intended!) I'm officially an unpaid employee for the next 2.5 weeks until I return to work. What can I say - we're not progressive as far as PTO policies go.

So there's a bright side of course... I'm not doing any work or checking email. Whaaaat that's so crazy! I don't even feel guilty for not worrying about work either. Sorry, blog checking coworkers/boss -or not, whichever. Also at home I've been turning off my cell phone AND home phone ringers. (disclaimer - I returned one work phone call today - but that's IT)

Have I evolved into some kind of hermit? Yes, the flaky, non-responsive, self-talking kind. I might call a friend and meet up for lunch this week, but then again I might not.

Y'all seriously my kid doesn't sleep enough. And he spits up. A LOT. Today I stayed in my pajamas, and just changed shirts a few times. I will most likely put on real clothes tomorrow, since I managed to throw in a load of laundry today. I now feel bad for making fun of Cara's 2nd kid Madison for spitting up all the time. Payback, well you know...
