road trip

This weekend we took Lauren on her first long trip - to Kinston NC for my Grandma's 90th birthday. We were pretty worried about how a trip with a baby would go. Thankfully Lauren surprised us by pretty much sleeping the whole way there and back, and still sleeping through the nights in between. She also tolerated the extended family pretty well! We also got to realize what an attention magnet a baby can be - even just eating breakfast in the hotel became a baby show and tell. Oh, and having a van is sooo great! That made the 5 hr drive each way so much more bearable! Here's a pic of Lauren, all tuckered out at the end of the festivities on Saturday.
