Jury duty

My friend Sri has jury duty the 16th.

First of all, WTF!! She's only been a citizen for like 6 months!!! I have been all but begging for jury duty for 14 years now!! And we live in the same county and everything. Dammit, it's just not fair!

At first Sri was complaining about the extreme honor, and thinking of ways to get out of it, but we put a quick stop to that. (We bought you an American Flag cake - soooo deal with being American!) But now she's excited, which is the appropriate response. We are trying to prep her for what to expect in court. Since she hasn't been charged with reckless driving yet, she has no court experience. Although, Sri did say that she watched Judge Judy a lot when she first moved here. But - judge and no jury? Not good enough.

We came up with a few ideas of shows/movies she should check out to prepare for the event. Runaway Jury, Law and Order (stick to the original series), and My Cousin Vinnie were our solid first picks. That should about cover it, right?
