8. Snake bites mailman -- who finishes rounds
A 66-year-old Florida mailman doing his rounds was bitten by a poisonous snake when he put mail inside a mailbox. He told authorities he shook his arm and beat the snake against his car door to loosen its grip. He continued his rounds for the next 30 minutes before seeking help. The snake was thought to be an Eastern diamondback rattlesnake.
Hard. Core.
I'm leaving work immediately if I have a stapler mishap, much less a snakebite! And I'm not sure if I would have thought to beat it against my car... A couple of years ago there was a big snake on our floor, chillin near payables, (did it take the stairs or elevator?) One guy we worked with figured it was a joke and stepped over it. The next guy squealed when he saw it and we still make fun of him. We set the snake free - it should be glad the mail guy doesn't work here!
